It begins with an idea.
Hatch Bloomington is an annual retail pitch competition where participants present their ideas for starting a brick-and-mortar business in Bloomington, Minnesota.
A panel of judges that include business and community leaders evaluates the contest applications and three stages of business pitches – Top 25, Top 10 and Top Three.
The judging results are combined with community-wide voting, culminating in a $100,000 financial award for the winning proposal.
The competition provides ambitious entrepreneurs significant exposure for their business ideas and connects them with a robust network of business leaders and resources.
